This Week with Wicked Grounds (6/19 – 6/29)

June 19, 2025 By Miriam Green

Hello kinksters –

I personally moderated our class on Pedi Pain last night, and learned a lot of great new material. I laughed, I winced, and you bet I took notes for my own creatively sadistic scenes!

That’s the thing about the world of kink: no matter how long you’ve been around, there’s always something new to learn! I’ve been in the public kink scene for thirty years, but there is always a new idea, new technique, or different perspective that changes the way I see myself, my play, and my community. This is part of why Wicked Grounds is committed to be with kinksters every step of the way, whether that’s initial negotiation and consent classes or stepping into a multi-week journey of discovery.

Speaking of journeys, we have several daylong and multi-week intensives coming up in the near future. Look for a special section of the newsletter after this week’s events, because we launch a five-week queer identities intensive at the start of July and also have two daylong practicums in the SF bay area midmonth for impact play and embodied erotic movement! I’ve also just added the first registration links for our fall Diving Deep six-week intensive, if you’re the type who really likes to think ahead!!!

Happy upcoming Pride week! Let’s take a look at it!

This Week!

Thursday, June 19 through Sunday, June 29

Thursday, June 19 and Friday, June 20

No live classes on these days, but check out our video classes, workbooks, and more at Wicked Grounds Annex

If you’re in the SF Bay Area, you might also want to check out the Dirty Talk Game Show with Wicked Grounds founder Psychokitty Ryan on Thursday, June 19th. You can find out more at the FetLife listing for the event, if you’re on FetLife.

Saturday, June 21

If you are in the Mendocino county area, we’ll have a table at the first-ever Fort Bragg Pride Celebration. Come say hello!

Join UK kink educator Sarah Butcher online today at 11am Pacific today for Feel the Impact, an online class to explore all the nuances of impact play! This class is available live, or you may watch the recording later. Either way, you’ll need advanced ticketing through Forbidden Tickets or Plura.

Sunday, June 22

We have two online classes today!

Join us online at 11am Pacific for Dungeon Disasters with John Pendal. No matter how skilled you are as a BDSM player things can and will always go wrong. This class examines both emotional and physical pitfalls of kinky scenes with tips for warning signs you should look out for, ways to avoid a disaster, and coping strategies when the worst situations seem to occur. Advanced ticketing required, whether you plan to attend live or watch the recording later. Get yours through Forbidden Tickets or Plura.

Whether you believe in magick, want to believe in magick, or think it’s all just a big metaphor for how the brain works, join us at 2pm Pacific for Sex Magick for Kinksters with Miriam Green. You’ll learn the basics of sex magick: what it is, where it comes from, and some underpinning ideas of how to engage with it from our own kinky witch Miriam BatAsherah Green. Whether you plan to watch live or attend using the recording later, you’ll need to invoke advanced tickets through Forbidden Tickets or Plura.

Monday, June 23

Consensual non-consent is one of kink’s most prevalent and sometimes misunderstood forms of edgeplay. Done well, it can be safe, connective, and hot for all involved – but it takes skill to do well. Join Miss Mackenzee online tonight for Blurring the Lines: Consensual Non-Consent, and learn safety tips, scene ideas, and much more for getting the most out of mutually-satisfying edge play. Advanced ticketing required, whether it’s to attend live or watch the recording later. Get yours through Forbidden Tickets or Plura.

Tuesday, June 24

Tonight, registered attendees of Writing Spicy will attend part two! This session is closed to new attendees.

Wednesday, June 25

Safer sex protocols are critical, but the need to play safe goes beyond the basics when you’re doing kink! Socially transmitted pathogens also effect our toys, our play stations, and a lot of the tools we use in kinky play. Let’s learn about how to play safe(r) and hotter tonight online in Safe(r) Play: Navigating STI/STD Safety in BDSM with Lillith Foxx. Advanced tickets are required either to attend live or get the playback recording. Please get yours through Forbidden Tickets or Plura.

In San Francisco? Queer? Kinky? It’s time to make some new friends! Join impossiblepain and Miriam Green tonight for Kinky Queer Speed Friending/ Dating/ Whatever+ and make a whole lot of new queerdo friends – fast! Space is limited, and we strongly recommend advanced ticketing! You may get yours through Forbidden Tickets or Plura.

Thursday, June 26

New-ish to rope? Want to build up your rope repertoire? Join Psychokitty Ryan tonight to learn some new floorwork ties in Getting Started with Rope Bondage: More Ties!. This class is live-only in San Francisco, CA. Advanced ticketing strongly recommended, as this class often sells out! Get your advanced tickets through Forbidden Tickets or Plura.

Friday, June 27

It’s Pride weekend!!! We don’t have anything planned tonight as an organization. You’ll probably see our staff out there having some fun!

Saturday, June 28
