Howdy kinksters – One of the things I love most about my role at Wicked Grounds is watching new kinds of play and hearing new voices emerge over time, while watching others deepen and extend their work over time. Looking forward to the summer, we’re welcoming new voices like Lady V and Jamie Joy, while also showcasing some folks like Janet Hardy who were essential to my own early kink and polyamory journey. Howdy kinksters – It was such a blast this week to host the first events at Stopgap, a new San Francisco popup kink venue in a historic SOMA location. Thanks to everyone who came out to our classes and playshops this week and checked out the space! Thanks, too, to the many people who joined us for the Dom/ sub Dynamics Virtual Summit this year. I had a great time getting to meet new folks and hang out with fellow kink educators for some truly juicy discussions. The weather is starting to get nice, and it’s time to get out and play. This Saturday, catch San Francisco’s Leather & LGBTQ Cultural District for Play on the Plaza, an afternoon of play, kink vendors, and entertainment. Wicked Grounds’ Kink Class Incubator is back with a new five-week format to improve existing classes & generate new ones. Are you ready to take charge of your curriculum? Since 2019, Wicked Grounds Annex has provided resources for our instructors and would-be instructors to develop stronger, more impactful, more engaging classes — along with strategies to find, engage, and build communities with the best students for their content. We can help you change kink culture for the better by refining your course ideas and optimizing your marketing approach. This course will improve classes and marketing for experienced and new instructors alike. Our approach In this class, you’ll learn what you need to get a basic start teaching in kink, polyamory, fetish, magick — or any other peer-taught subject. Of course, we’d be delighted if you plan to teach with Wicked Grounds, but our goal is to create great teachers who can teach anywhere. Throughout May 2024, you will learn to: How we’ll engage Starting Wednesday, May 1, we’ll engage in four major sections of work as you refine your concept, discover your audience, and take your class from concept to outline. You’ll use the same approach that Miriam Green — a retired marketing consultant — uses to develop, market, and continually improve their classes. This course will include four full weeks of self-directed coursework (which you may complete at your schedule and repeat as many times as you need) along with four or five 75-minute live sessions each Wednesday evening from May 1 – May 29. Students who join without a prior description and outline should plan to attend starting Wednesday, May 1. More advanced students are welcome to join May 1 but can opt to start May 8. All live sessions will be recorded for those who cannot attend live or wish to review the session.
