ONLINE: Kink and Kids: The Many Facets of Practising Kink as Parents with Ancilla L

June 6 @ 6:45 pm - 8:45 pm

Amongst the most common questions I receive from people is this oneL how do you balance your sexuality/fetish and being parents? There are many questions about sounds, exposure, information and intersection, and this class aims to cover as many of them as possible:

  • Communicating with kids of different ages about the subject.
  • Social, familial and personal influences on what you can and cannot say.
  • How much do I want my kids to know?
  • Ideology versus practice.
  • Various approaches to kink and parenting: Handling disclosure, boundaries, preparedness, discovery etc.
  • Secrets versus Boundaries: How to set them.
  • The intersection of parenting and power-exchange: Figuring it out ethically for yourself and your children.
  • Marks, signs, equipment, hiding and how to decide where to stand.
  • Balancing parental responsibility and play.
  • Dating a non-parent as a parent (or vice versa) in a kink set-up.
  • Representation and children: What do visible aspects of your kink say to them?
  • And much more!
