It was such a blast this week to host the first events at Stopgap, a new San Francisco popup kink venue in a historic SOMA location. Thanks to everyone who came out to our classes and playshops this week and checked out the space!
Thanks, too, to the many people who joined us for the Dom/ sub Dynamics Virtual Summit this year. I had a great time getting to meet new folks and hang out with fellow kink educators for some truly juicy discussions.
The weather is starting to get nice, and it’s time to get out and play.
This Saturday, catch San Francisco’s Leather & LGBTQ Cultural District for Play on the Plaza, an afternoon of play, kink vendors, and entertainment. And then next Saturday (4/20), Wicked Grounds will be at the SF Fetish Flea along with a wide range of other kink artisans and vendors. Hope to see you there!

Thinking ahead
We have two multi-week workshops in the works for May and June, and now is the time to sign up!
In May, we’ll meet with kink educators and aspiring kink educators weekly for our Kink Class Incubator to better understand our unique student niches, develop new class ideas, and handle everything from class development and marketing to how to fit all your different class ideas together into one coherent whole. Queer folks! Join us in June for Stepping Into Pride a six-week online workshop for the LGBTQ+ community. In a world bordered on one side by culture wars and internalized shame and on the other by rainbow capitalism and community expectations, what does it mean to plot a course for ourselves as queer folks? Four seats left!!! Join our favorite leather PuppyDog on Sunday for an all day workshop for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED plus Bloodborne Pathogens Certification. Whether you need this certification for your profession or want to learn life-saving first aid knowledge as a Good Samaritan in the dungeon, this class will provide crucial skills and information to help out in an emergency situation. This class is strongly recommended for party hosts, venue owners, dungeon monitors and others who want to provide critical care and might have questions best addressed by a kink-aware instructor. Successful students will receive a certificate for Bloodborne Pathogens Training valid for one year AND a certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years through the American Red Cross. Negotiating is a key skill for BDSM scenes and everything else we do in relationships and our community. But’s it’s not always a skill that comes naturally. Join Wicked Ground’s Miriam Green for BDSM Negotiation Basics, a two hour online workshop covering the basics of negotiation and consent, critical negotiation questions, strategies for asking, and even the neuropsychology of a scene and how that impacts communication throughout.
