But many of us run into challenges: What do I want? As I figure that out\, how do I feel safe talking out loud about my desires? \nThis six week course is designed to help kinksters and other erotic adventurers get un-stuck around our evolving desires and how to ask for them. They teach a series of KINK 101 classes on the SF kink community\, BDSM negotiations\, and dating while kinky. They also are the owner of Wicked Grounds\, San Francisco’s leader in BDSM education and community building. \nHow we’ll engage\nThe six week course will run live from November 2 – December 13\, 2025. \nThis class will include six total weeks of content and homework\, three 90-minute live online group sessions on Sunday afternoons (all recorded for later participation if needed)\, and at least one half-hour individual consult with instructor Miriam Green. (Our class tiers include the option to add more consulting for your own journey.) \nOur three live sessions will be offered via Zoom on Sunday\, November 2\, Sunday\, November 23\, and Sunday December 7 – all at 10 am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm GMT. \nSessions will be recorded for later viewing or for those who cannot attend the sessions live.

DESCRIPTION:Harm happens — from abuse of power to consent incidents and violations. When it does\, it creates ripples through the lives of the people involved and the community as a whole. Sometimes these events are handled well. Too often they’re not\, which frequently leads to more harm. \nJoin us for a look at new ways to deal with harm that works to support the person harmed\, foster accountability for the person who did the harm\, and manage the response for the community at large–including transforming conditions that allow harm to arise in the first place.” \nConsent Academy is an educational collective founded in 2016 in Seattle\, WA\, currently with staff and volunteers all over the world. We believe consent is a part of everyday life\, and its practice builds stronger\, safer\, and more connected communities. Our approach incorporates disciplines of psychology\, sociology\, public health\, psychotherapy\, and personal coaching to create a systemic view of how consent impacts everyone\, from the bedroom to the boardroom. \nINSTRUCTORS: \nAdam is a community organizer\, mediator\, conflict transformation facilitator\, kink and consent educator\, and ongoing learner. Their passions lie at the intersections of disability justice\, neurodivergence accessibility\, trauma-informed care\, consent\, embodied somatics\, harm reduction\, and systems transformation. They desire to help people relate in safer\, skillful ways that are trauma-\, power-\, and risk-informed. Adam is an educator with several groups including The Consent Academy\, advocating for consent from the individual level to the systemic. They do consent and accountability work in many contexts and community spaces\, from organizing spaces to the sex+ world. Adam sees this work as intersectional\, directly connected to the better\, more liberatory world they want to live in. \nAsha Lerae has been a part of Consent Academy since 2018\, teaching established curriculum\, creating new workshops\, facilitating discussion groups\, and acting as a consent advocate and consultant. She became Co-director of Consent Academy in January\, 2022. She is passionate about consent education as a way to reduce trauma\, promote pleasure and eroticism\, support accountability\, and foster cultural change that balances autonomy with responsibility.
