DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this workshop is that everyone leaves with a better sense of where they are on the risk spectrum and how they can use harm and pleasure management to minimize unwanted risks. \nWe will have a hands-on approach and go through reflection questions as well as exercises\, while holding space so that everyone can share their own experiences and thoughts. \nWe will also offer extra material so everyone can repeat the process at their own pace and as many times as they need! \nFirst part: \n\nIntroduction to harm\, risk\, and pleasure from different points of view\nIntroduction to the history of harm reduction and why it applies to kink\nPolitics of harm and risk\nRisk aversion\, risk seeking\, risk acceptance\nSome questions to start thinking about how we relate to harm\, risk\, pleasure\, and loss\nSelf-consent: why it matters and how we can practice accountability\n\nSecond part: \n\nIntroduction to risk profiles: What are those? Why do I want one?\nHow to make your own risk profile\nQuestions to explore how risk feels in our body/mind\nExercises to map our own profile\nGroup discussion and sharing\n\nINSTRUCTORS: \nMel (he/him) is an Argentinian trans masc aligned gender fluid sex and BDSM educator. He is the co-founder of Kinky Vibe Argentina\, a collective based in Buenos Aires that hosts events\, support groups and workshops for the kinky\, queer and neurodivergent community both online and offline. Lifestyle kinkster\, he has been doing kink for the last ten years\, identifies as sub-leaning switch\, and is a sex worker (ProDomme). \nOne of his greatest passions is thinking about power\, risk\, and self-consent in the context of kink\, and spending most of his time accompanying people on their kinky journey. He has been teaching about kink\, pleasure\, risk\, and depathologization for the last nine years. \nMemi (he/him) is an Argentinian trans masc person\, who is a lifestyle kinkster\, a history teacher\, and an early-career researcher in the history of sexualities. He has been doing kink for almost a decade in a wide variety of kinks\, relationships\, dynamics\, and sides of the slash. SUMMARY:Increasing Your Impact! A Daylong Impact Play Intensive with Miriam Green and impossiblepain
DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re new to impact play or want to take your play to the next level\, we’d love you to join us for a unique daylong impact play experience. This daylong intensive is for tops and bottoms alike who would like to deepen and refine their impact play skillset. \nWe’ll work together to create a unique\, hands-on immersion into impact play. We’ll cover negotiation and safety\, emotional engagement\, ergonomics\, and somatic and verbal communication for hands-on play. Through the day\, you’ll learn all the basics of impact play\, whether you prefer to play using your hands and fists\, or using rigid toys such as paddles\, canes\, tawses\, and some truly sadistic home-grown pervertables. \nTogether\, we’ll explore: \n\nNegotiation & co-creation for impact play\nErgonomics\, safety\, and communication\nHow to integrate impact play into creative\, dynamic scenes\nHow to play with your hands: slapping\, hitting\, spanking\, punching & more!\nHow to play with rigid and semi-rigid impact toys: paddles\, tawses\, belts\, canes\, and more!\nProcessing pain and other physical and emotional sensations\nBasic aftercare and post-scene preparation\nHow to create\, plan and manage an impact scene through our capstone make-your-own-scene exercise\n\nPlease note that we’ll concentrate on rigid and semi-rigid toys\, and we will not address floggers or whips in this class. \nYou do not need to come with a partner\, but you should come prepared to play! In the early part of the day\, we’ll try a lot on ourselves. Our afternoon capstone exercise will be a scene where you’ll apply your skills in a hands-on scene with a partner. \nPRESENTERS \nMiriam Green is a kink educator and coach with over twenty years’ experience in the public BDSM scene as a participant\, educator\, house top\, party host and former gear-slinger. A gleeful sadist and overly-dramatic masochist\, they own far too many canes for their own good. Mir owns Wicked Grounds\, a kink and sex-positive education business to help playful people find and traverse their kink journeys. \nimpossiblepain is an impact switch\, a gleeful sadist\, and an accomplished masochist. They have been playing publicly with consensual violence since 2014. impossiblepain enjoys kink instruction that makes safe\, creative\, and whimsical play feel accessible to anyone. \nTogether\, Miriam Green and impossiblepain created San Francisco’s SpankLab in 2021\, and they have co-presented dozens of classes on impact play for Wicked Grounds\, Society of Janus\, and Dark Odyssey Surrender. \nPLEASE BRING: \n\nA water bottle and any must-have snacks\nA rigid or semi-rigid toy to practice with\, such as a cane\, paddle\, or strap.\nDon’t have any kink toys?
