DESCRIPTION:Many people get involved in age play for either nurturing or dark dynamics that fit very classic Daddy/girl\, Mommy/boy dynamics\, and while these are beautiful and interesting\, this class is half about playing specific narrative scenes within those dynamics\, for folks trying on these roles who need some inspiration on how to play them; and half about age play scenes totally outside that dynamic – Bigs who are coaches\, grandparents\, teachers\, aunts\, other authority figures – or scenes where littles play together in power exchange. \nAs a teacher in multiple dynamics that sometimes involve age play in our play\, including switching in a little-for-little dynamic\, I love sharing inspiration for many narrative directions these kinds of scenes can take and opening the floor to a few minutes of shared discussion for folks to share their inspiration and experience to close the class. \nPRESENTER: \nLaura Boyle is a writer\, polyamorist\, and educator who has been teaching classes on polyamory\, sexuality\, boundaries\, kink\, and the intersection of those on a local level and at conventions since 2018. She is the author of Ready for Polyamory: A Pragmatic Guide to Consensual Non-Monogamy. SUMMARY:ONLINE: From Harm to Healing: A Guide to Community Accountability with Adam and Ash of Consent Academy
DESCRIPTION:Consent incidents and violations happen. When they do it creates ripples through the lives of the people involved and the community as a whole. Sometimes these are handled well. Sometimes they’re not\, which frequently leads to more harm. \nJoin us for a look at a new way to deal with consent violations that works to support the person harmed\, foster accountability for the person who did the harm\, and manage the response for the community at large–including transforming the conditions that allowed harm to arise. \nConsent Academy is an educational collective founded in 2016 in Seattle\, WA\, currently with staff and volunteers all over the world. We believe consent is a part of everyday life\, and its practice builds stronger\, safer\, and more connected communities. Our approach incorporates disciplines of psychology\, sociology\, public health\, psychotherapy\, and personal coaching to create a systemic view of how consent impacts everyone\, from the bedroom to the boardroom. \nINSTRUCTORS: \nAdam is a community organizer\, mediator\, conflict transformation facilitator\, kink and consent educator\, and ongoing learner. Their passions lie at the intersections of disability justice\, neurodivergence accessibility\, trauma-informed care\, consent\, embodied somatics\, harm reduction\, and systems transformation. They desire to help people relate in safer\, skillful ways that are trauma-\, power-\, and risk-informed. Adam is an educator with several groups including The Consent Academy\, advocating for consent from the individual level to the systemic. They do consent and accountability work in many contexts and community spaces\, from organizing spaces to the sex+ world. Adam sees this work as intersectional\, directly connected to the better\, more liberatory world they want to live in. \nAsha Lerae has been a part of Consent Academy since 2018\, teaching established curriculum\, creating new workshops\, facilitating discussion groups\, and acting as a consent advocate and consultant. She became Co-director of Consent Academy in January\, 2022. She is passionate about consent education as a way to reduce trauma\, promote pleasure and eroticism\, support accountability\, and foster cultural change that balances autonomy with responsibility.
