SUMMARY:ONLINE: Sustainable Dominance: Managing Capacity in Long-Term Leadership with Aidan Sunassee
DESCRIPTION:Long-term dominance asks a great deal of a person. While maintaining a dynamic is a shared responsibility\, many Doms choose to carry a significant share of the structure\, planning\, co-regulation\, and day-to-day care that keeps it running. Over time\, that responsibility can become exhausting\, particularly if they feel expected to remain endlessly capable\, composed\, and available. \nThis class focuses on the emotional and practical work of sustaining authority over time\, without falling into the dreaded pit of burnout. We will discuss decision fatigue\, Dom drop\, resentment\, inconsistent capacity\, unrealistic expectations\, and the pressure to be “the stable one” through every demand life places upon you and yours. \nYou will learn ways to communicate boundaries and capacity clearly\, receive support\, and build systems that involve submissive partners in maintaining the relationship they are also part of. If you’re a D-type who loves holding responsibility (perhaps a little too much)\, an s-type who wants to learn more about D-type burnout\, or anywhere in between\, this is the class for you! \nPRESENTER: \nAidan Sunassee (he/him) is a certified sexologist\, educator\, researcher\, and active member of the kink community. His facilitation style is trauma-aware\, grounded in inclusive practices\, and informed by both personal experience and academic research. He is dedicated to bridging the gap between academic knowledge and lived experience\, creating spaces where community voices are centered\, respected\, and empowered. Aidan is affiliated with the APA Division 44 Taskforce on Kink and BDSM\, serves on the board and research team of TASHRA\, and teaches with the Center for Positive Sexuality. His independent research explores how pleasure and power exchange intersect with healing in kink spaces and dynamics. SUMMARY:ONLINE: What Now? Responding to Consent Injuries with Sir Panda
DESCRIPTION:We talk a lot about what consent is\, and how to reach good consent in play and with partners. Yet consent injuries happen all the time. What happens after things go wrong\, and a consent incident shakes up a person\, a couple\, or a community? \nThis class will briefly touch on what consent is and how to secure it – then go beyond and examine how to best react when a consent incident touches us. Let’s consider how we handle it as a stranger\, a friend\, or an event host. We’ll look at some recommended responses including caring for the harmed\, incident reporting\, and consequences such as apologies\, punishments\, and restorative justice. \nPRESENTER: \nSir-Panda (he/him) is a polyamorous Dominant living in the Kansas City metro area. He has been a kink educator since he began teaching consent and BDSM basics at Seattle’s Center for Sex Positive Culture (CSPC) in 2011. Today he especially focuses on the mental and relationship aspects of kink\, drawing on over 17 years of experience and a passion for research. Sir Panda has taught for Leather Reign\, the Kink Center\, Pragmatic Kink\, Wicked Grounds\, and the Venusian Society.
