The class will begin by discussing what latex is and where it comes from and will continue into a chronological history of rubber as a material as well as how it relates to fashion and fetishism. This journey will begin in 1600 BCE and end in the modern day. Along the way\, we will discuss all the wild and exciting pieces of rubber history that have worked together to create rubber fetishism as it exists today. \nTowards the end of class\, we will briefly explore different methods of latex care to ensure your pieces stay shiny and last long! \nINSTRUCTOR: \nDolly Diatima is a Persian American professional dominatrix\, writer\, fetish model\, and lifestyle kinkster. As a nonbinary and neurodivergent sex worker on the ace spectrum\, they offer a unique perspective into kink and sexuality which they work to bring into their sessions as a domme as well as into their writings and classes. They are currently one semester away from a BA in Philosophy and can often be found discussing the intersection of kink and philosophical concepts on their blog. After graduation\, they plan to pursue an AASECT sexuality educator certification.
