SUMMARY:ONLINE: Trauma-Informed Age Play: Through the Lens of Care and Caution with Draven
DESCRIPTION:This series will explore the 4C’s of trauma-informedness (Compassion\, Consent\, Care\, and Caution) to understand the cultural and historical aspects of harm done to those who are child-like. In each of the workshops\, we will dive into trauma-informedness. \nYou may attend all workshops or just one\, it is up to you! These workshops are interconnected but can be attended individually. \nThis is the third in the series\, the other two are 2/9: https://forbiddentickets.com/events/wicked-grounds/c9d6dba8c1 \nAnd 2/23:\nhttps://forbiddentickets.com/events/wicked-grounds/854ca21176 \nIn the first workshop\, we looked at age play through the lens of compassion\, exploring historical pathologies\, aspects of age play\, and how we can be compassionate with others and ourselves. \nThe second workshop will explore the concept of the complexity of consent within age play. Consent is critical to develop trauma-informed relationships with those who play as a younger age and their caregivers. We will explore how to live a consensual life within an adultist/sanist society. \nThe third workshop will highlight the importance of care and caution within age-play dynamics\, whether that’s individually\, dually\, or in a group setting. In this final workshop\, we will integrate all aspects of trauma-informedness together to understand the importance of connecting with community for a healthy life. \nINSTRUCTOR: \nDraven is a Trauma-Informed Sexuality Educator with Dynamic Education and Counseling and a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality student at the California Institute of Integral Studies. From a playful and authentic base\, Draven weaves research and stories to teach individuals how to process one’s trauma with themselves while being supported by a therapist. While teaching\, they knit stories in to include intersectional identities and how oppressive systems affect individuals and communities. As a Trauma-Informed Sexuality Educator\, Draven coaches neurodivergent individuals/couples/polycules\, provides trauma processing groups and conducts a variety of workshops on healthy sexuality. DESCRIPTION:How is it possible that a simple tree sap sparked a powerful community of fetishism with a rich culture and extensive history? To answer this question\, this class explores the history of rubber\, a journey that involves the Aztec people\, quack medicine\, high fashion\, the Second World War\, raincoat fetishists\, and much more. The class will begin by discussing what latex is and where it comes from and will continue into a chronological history of rubber as a material as well as how it relates to fashion and fetishism. This journey will begin in 1600 BCE and end in the modern day. Along the way\, we will discuss all the wild and exciting pieces of rubber history that have worked together to create rubber fetishism as it exists today. \nTowards the end of class\, we will briefly explore different methods of latex care to ensure your pieces stay shiny and last long! \nINSTRUCTOR: \nDolly Diatima is a Persian American professional dominatrix\, writer\, fetish model\, and lifestyle kinkster. As a nonbinary and neurodivergent sex worker on the ace spectrum\, they offer a unique perspective into kink and sexuality which they work to bring into their sessions as a domme as well as into their writings and classes. They are currently one semester away from a BA in Philosophy and can often be found discussing the intersection of kink and philosophical concepts on their blog. After graduation\, they plan to pursue an AASECT sexuality educator certification. In their spare time\, they enjoy drawing in the pop surrealism style\, watching extreme horror films\, and collecting vintage fashion.
