DESCRIPTION:“How are you enduring that? Is that safe for your body? How do I get better bruises? Wait\, did you just come?” For many bottoms\, how much they can suffer through – and how much they enjoy it – become points of insecurity. The bad news is that masochism can not be taught; pain management\, however\, can. This class will discuss mental and physical processing/conditioning techniques regarding multiple forms of pain. \nWe will move through the anatomy of a scene\, discussing techniques for preparing emotionally\, strategies to process pain\, ways to take care of your body when not playing (including why we do or don’t get bruises (and what to do about them if we don’t want them)\, and best practices in communicating with partners after the fact. While this class is geared towards bottoms\, tops are encouraged to attend in order to learn how they can best help their partners through difficult scenes. \nPRESENTER: \nvahavta began her kink journey about a decade ago and has been grateful to get to teach\, play\, and learn in communities in North Carolina\, Chicago\, St. Louis\, and internationally. Today\, she serves her husband in a 24/7 CNC-based Total Power Exchange with heavy elements of emotional play and service. vahavta is disabled\, Jewish\, and femme\, and believes in approaching kink with a firm understanding of intersectional context.
